Even with the dreadful weather conditions the team when out with all guns blazing. With a 5 points a piece at half time it was difficult to determine the out come. When CIT returned to the pitch, they returned eager and determined as ever. With some fine goals from John Corkery and Man of the Match Cathal Vaughan CIT manage to sweep up the success with a massive score line of 2-12 to 0-08. In the final group game CIT faced fellow Cork college and Rivals UCC. CIT were 1 step closer the Sigerson Cup weekend and went out feeling confident. With a goal in the fifth minute by Quinlivan and points from Cox and Nation UCC had the advantage. CIT faced an uphill task but never lost faith. With a great goal from Hodnett in the second half to narrow the gap. CIT played with their strength in depth right up until the final whistle but could not secure a win.
