The Intermediates started off early in the year, with their Munster Championship Semi-Final on the 22nd of January were they met MICL. In the second half MICL put a very good display and they were on top in a number of sectors and they turned this to their advantage with a fine goal. Sadly for CIT it wasn’t a win on the day. The intermediates then had their chance in the Championship, where they faced Carlow IT in Waterford. The teams were well matched where they drew on the day with 11 points each. The replay of this match was abandoned due to the severe weather condition and the pitch was unplayable. They then travelled to Waterford to meet IT Carlow for a third time. CIT played show great skills on the day and they really did they’re team justice. Unluckily they didn’t get the win and lost out to Carlow with a score line of 0:10-03:09
